Peter has been announced as one of
the contestants in the $500,000
Prizefighter-style “Super 8″
tournament slated for June 4 in
Aukland, New Zealand.
The boxer, nicknamed the ‘Nigerian
Nightmare’ joins Kali Meehan, Michael
Sprott and Martin Morgan in a Super 8
lineup, of which applications are yet
open for four more contestants.
It will be the 33-year-old’s first fight
in three years, after he was overwhelmed
by Finnish prospect Robert Helenius in
round nine of their bout in Germany.

The winner of the tournament will
collect $200,000, the runner-up receives
$100,000, semi-finalists earn $30,000,
and opening round losers bank $15,000.
There would be bonuses for KOs, best
fights and fight of the night.

Oleg Maskaev on March 8, 2008, by TKO
to claim the WBC heavyweight crown, but
lost the title in his first defence against
Vitali Klitschko.
