Huawei Honor 3c: Review & Specs

The body material is made of aviation magnesium alloy frame and it’s light and slim. When I turned on the power button of this phone, the power on bootscreen was fast. I fell in love with it at first glance of the home screen. The phone is heavily customized. Seriously, you don’t need to download a launcher for this phone. Emotion ui 2.0 is really beautiful, kudos to Huawei here. Then I started navigating through the homescreen and it just kept giving me a swift response. I wouldn’t be surprised as the phone has the newly optimized quadcore mtk6582 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz cortex A7. The screen is 5inches muti-touch with a resolution of 1280 x 720p and 16M colours. The display colour is very vivid since its Hd and the view angles were very much okay. The screen type is LTPS by OGS technology. I installed a game “Agent dash”, and it run smoothly. Considering the ram size “2gb” there is little chance of the phone running out of memory except you re an extremely heavy phone user. The phone has an inbuilt memory of 8gb and expandable to 32gb. It runs on android 4.2.2 jellybean
I took some camera pictures with the phone, the 8mp camera really beats it. Even the 5mp front camera pictures was also clean. I zoomed the pictures and believe me they were still very much clear. Features a LED light for night pictures as well
Another amazing thing to note is that the phone has 2300mah battery and also equipped with fast charge technology. I operated the phone all day and it was able to work till night. Get ready to cut your SIM because it’s also a dual micro sim phone with sim one supporting 3g alone.
Now let’s go to GPS where mtk devices are known to be a flop. Huawei in their reviews claimed to have solved the issue with GPS on this phone. I took the phone outside and test it and guess what? Voila! My location was found. The Gps works really well. There are other great features like dts effects, one-hand ui, motion control, OTA, Theme and font customizations, hotspot, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic etc. There is a LED light at the top of the phone that blinks for notifications. All in all, this phone is a good buy considering the specs.
Cons:No earpiece accessory. The back button is set on the left, opposite to most android phones. There is no light on the three famous buttons on android phones. No camera button. But I’m used to all these already.
