Fifteen months on from their epic UEFA Champions League final, FC Bayern München and Chelsea FC meet at Prague's Stadion Eden in the UEFA Super Cup.

The Blues became only the third club – after Juventus, AFC Ajax and Bayern – to win all three major European club competitions.

• Both clubs have suffered UEFA Super Cup disappointment; Chelsea, winners in 1998, were overrun by Club Atlético de Madrid in Monaco 12 months ago while Bayern lost in 1975 (v FC Dynamo Kyiv), 1976 (RSC Anderlecht) and 2001 (Liverpool FC). No other team has finished runners-up three times without winning the trophy.

• The match provides a sub-plot in the teams' new coaches; Bayern's Josep Guardiola and José Mourinho of Chelsea know each other well from their time in charge of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF respectively.

• In the 2012 UEFA Champions League final, Müller's late header had seemingly given Jupp Heynckes' Bayern victory, but five minutes later Drogba headed an equaliser for a Chelsea team managed by Roberto Di Matteo.
